Oftentimes when hearing about global issues it is difficult to relate to them, however the unique case about agricultural problems is that everyone is involved at some level. Whether you are a small farmer being affected by unfair subsidies or a citizen shopping at a grocery store you can be a part of the solution. It is your duty as a citizen to understand the repercussions of current agricultural practices and do what you can to support the sustainable movement. Contacting your congressman or purchasing food from a local farmer’s market are both great ways to start.
